Heya Gang, I won two VIP gold class (you get to hang out in the gold lounge with bands) for splendour next weekend but as I live in Melbourne and have uni making it is an unfortunate impossibility. I still have both available and I'm selling them for $700 each (the rrp) and won't include the $20 transfer fee (as I got them for free). Message me on 0431 308 325 if you're keen and I'll endeavor to have it sorted by Monday afternoon. -Pat Farrell

$350 for a 3 day festival is very reasonably priced. Considering the amount you'd spend to see each band separately, everyone should appreciate that we have the chance to listen to all these bands at the best festival I have personally been to. Splendour is worth every cent. This is my 4th Splendour and I plan on having maaaany more.

well $60 is a substantial amount to me. and whilst it doesn't have the huge name act's, it's certainly a much deeper line-up

Last year: $390 event ticket + $120 camping. This year: $350 event ticket + $99 camping. Whether $60 is a "substantial" saving in the big scheme of things, probably not. Especially when that saving can probably be contributed to the lack of huge-name pop acts (Kanye/Coldplay) rather than any actual saving from the goodness of the promoter's hearts. It's still expensive and a big investment for any music fan who doesn't live in NSW.

why is everyone complaining about ticket prices? apparently they're substantially less than last year
