As long as people don't continue tagging it as 'americana' I can live with that. 'Indie' is like the last.fm version of 'music', excluding classical and pseudo-classical pieces, some techno-derivatives and parts of music obviously designed for charts-success-purposes. When people ask me what kind of music I listen to, I'll point to my tagcloud and answer "Indie it is!". If they continue asking me what that might be, I'll answer "I've got no idea!". The rest is silence.

You may get this a lot, and it's probably rude of me for saying this, but the male vocalist's voice sounds a lot like Antony from Antony and The Johnsons. But you guys are AWESOME tho'!!

Arguments like that are dumb pal. 30 second samples do nothing. I don't give a fuck if you think my morals are in the wrong place but i would have to very rich to actually buy every album i download, very rich. Don't you realise its the record companies which make it from the CDs. The bands make the money from the gigs. Say if i thought the album was awesome, then i would like to see them live which would be much better for the band then actually deciding not to buy the album ever. You're just being plain stubborn. People who only buy their music generally have boring narrow music tastes. I don't want to have a boring normal taste in music. I like to explore the many different stuff out there. Impossible to fund as a student and to even have 130 CDs is something nearly every teenager won't have. You used the old cliche dumbass argument too. Stealing an actual physical item and dl'ing a copied file (MP3 is just that) is all very very different. I will leave the rest for you to figure!!!

benharris16, I'm sorry the "I want to see if I like it first" argument just doesn't do it for me. There are important life lessons for you to learn, and that sometimes in life you might be disappointed is the first. You can listen to 30 s of each song on iTunes for free and make your mind up from that. You don't demand to see a movie before paying. You take a look at the trailer, make your mind up from that and then you pay your money. Sometimes you'll feel robbed. That's life. Second life lesson is that you can't have everything you want. There's lots of things I want; a ferrari, a wide screen telly and a thousands of DVDs and CDs. I can't have them all. Life's a bit shit like that. I don't steal them, I have to make do with my little Fiat, my old telly and I prioritise which CDs I want most. I maximise what I can get for my money by using services such as Spotify and emusic (where kill it kid is available). And like Gabe says for really new and small acts I go buy the CD.

Billy-o, i nearly never buy albums before i download them due to the fact i dislike being disappointed with them. I have a collection of over 130 CDs so if you're questioning my commitment in terms of buying i don't care :) - I just would like to see what i think of the album first. Oh and i always buy hard copies. iTunes store sucks a bit!

@benharris16 and the two people who PM'd me asking me to send them the album: The whole album is on iTunes, at the bargainous price of £5.49. I also got my copy from a Record Shop. You might have heard of them, they're places where you browse through records and then in exchange for Money the Cashier will give you a bag to carry them home in. It was twice as expensive as iTunes, but I'll own the CD forever, the band get some money and I've helped keep my local record store in business. Simples.
