"Jungle Boogie" definitely one of my favorite songs of all time, so funky, so epic, so cool. Couldn't get enough of the lead vocalist on it with the deep voice growling, grunting and making all types of funny primal noises, I loved trying to imitate him, still do till this day. I could listen to a whole album of that guy doing his thing over their funky instrumentals all day. Glad they brought him back and kept the vibe going on Spirit of the Boogie. Probably one of the first breakbeats that I ever heard, from that point on I was hooked like Sherman Klump was to microwave dinners and slim fast shakes.

The fact they were so successful over the span from the late '60s to the '80s evolving their music and switching up their genres is really impressive, they deserve more due, especially for their work pre-disco era.

Wow! What an amazing band. They really shined a light on disco and carried the wave of disco for generations alongside the great CHIC too. Very underrated band.
