Piano Sonata in C minor, op. 13 - 2nd movement (Adagio Cantibile) Beethoven's 8th Piano Sonata, AKA "The Pathetique," is by far the most well-known creations from his early work. It was composed in 1798 but published in 1799, and was dedicated to prince Karl Lichnowsky. Some sources attribute the title to Beethoven himself.
