At first, I didn't like Dark Matter Dimensions, but it has grown on me. And The Unseen Empire is a good album. That's just my opinion.

hard to believe how meh this band became. Holographic Universe is a classic in my books and everything past it has been pretty average. not because of the vocals or anything, but the music doesn't sound as inspired as it used to.

I can appreciate the diversity of SID but overall it just doesn't sound all that "complete" to me. Plus Chris sounds like he's half asleep during some of the songs on the album.

I don't understand the lack of love for Symmetric in Design. Clearly their most diverse album, as Henrik Ohlsson himself has told me that they didn't yet know what they wanted to sound like as a band so they tried everything out. Veil of Illusions has to have the best solo by Per, Chaosweaver and Dominion have to be the top catchy songs, while Detach from the Outcome is a crazy Meshuggah-like ride. Damn, practically everything about that album rules!

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called it a conspiracy theory. It just has that vibe because of the way the book is written, it is constantly saying the majority of the scientists is completely wrong and not willing to open their mind to the possibility, but on the other hand it loves to mention the few scientists that do see the holographic universe as a possibility... The theory is something that can not be (easily) falsified, and relies on some assumptions like the existence of 'The Ghost in the Machine', kind of feels like a religion to me. Bottom line; it's a really interesting way of seeing the world, but there's no real reason to accept it as truth or a viable theory apart from it being so interesting.

The Holographic Universe idea is not conspiracy...its a theory that has nothing to do with conspiracy,it tryes to explain what the world is and how it is functioning,it is scientific work,not religious,new age or conspiracy theory,the book is actually quite good and the quantum mechanincs are pretty interesting,but still misterious...in such things we do not completely comprehend ,some see potential,other see fear of the unknown,and of course some use it to specilate whatever and however they like,they simply pull things out of the context...

Imo: Holographic Universe > Pitch Black Progress > The Unseen Empire > Dark Matter Dimensions > Symmetric in Design . I like Christian's Voice (both clean and growl) way more than the other's. Yet, I think they are one of the best vocalists in metal, too. And to finish it all: I'm fucking addicted to Scar Symmetry.

I like the lyrics on all the albums and typically don't take lyrics seriously in general if the sound is good. And the new vocalist sounds good and Scar Symmetry still sounds good so no worries here.
