kleinkunst
Kleinkunst (literally: “small art”) is originally a form of podium art. In the Netherlands and Flanders, ‘kleinkunst’ is comparable to cabaret , but is also used for other forms of theater such as musical or dutch spoken singer-songwriter songs. The word “klein” (small) in the term is considered by some als pejorative, others see it as a neutral reference to the intimate character of the art form.
