When the hell did Zion-I show up? I got to the paid dues stage as MURS was preforming and stayed there the whole time until Hiero finished.

is there a reason why you think you're so hotshot by posting on this page so much matt drake. oh lord i must be the scum of the earth solely because i missed rage and mistaked doom for being there. i didn't have fun. whatever. dropping acid in my room sounds a lot more appealing actually.

apparently MF Doom has been sending some guy to his shows with his mask and he lip synchs for 20 minutes and leaves. this happened in LA and in SF at the independent, then he didnt show up to rock the bells. people are really pissed off, this is fucked up, it almost makes me want to go see him in september just to see what happens!

fucking amazing. Wu was pretty awesome, but the energy of the crowd helped a lot. Roots killed, I though Pharoahe Monch was especially good. Mos Def was a little eh...Talib was on fire. Blackalicious killed too. Public Enemy was a little weak, but I love em.

motelrooms probably thought Heiroglyphics was Doom that's why she said his set was disappointing earlier in the shoutbox.

Hell, Doom wasn't even there so this event pretty much gets an F from me. I wasn't going to stay there for 11 hours just so I could see Rage.

The best festival I've ever been too. I don't think I've ever had more fun at a show than when I saw RATM.

Amazing to see Rage again, it's been too long. Only complaint, besides Nas not showing up, is the DJ in the VIP tent should have been shut down while the acts were on stage. Doom & Nas didn't show up. Other than that disappointment, there was only amazement. 20,000 is a lowball estimate of how many people were moshing at the same time. Talib Kweli killed, Heiro murdered, P.E. devastated, Roots destroyed. Wu could have been better, but it was still bomb. All in all, a truly epic show.

Wu Tang was incredible, I can't believe GZA did Duel of the Iron Mic, ahhhhh amazing!! The Roots were pretty great, but Mos Def was bleh. Public Enemy wasn't too great neither, even though I respect the crap out of them. Cypress Hill was surprisingly fun.

Wow not enough love for the paid dues stage. The Coup and Blackalicious totally put on a great show; but Hiero absoloutely killed it. I never realized how short A-plus is. Fuck Doom though, I don't think he has any respect for his fans at all. Rage was an incredible finale too. 20,000 people moshing at the same time? AMAZING

She also said that Doom's set was disappointing. He didn't even fucking show up. You sure you weren't just on some hardcore acid in your room and you thought you were there or what?

motelrooms, how the hell could you have been bored? I was bored with Cypress Hill's performance (because I wasn't high and I had a headache), but leaving *before* Rage because you were bored is just insane. antiy4o0, I didn't see Pharaoh, unfortunately, but I agree with what you said about Kweli and Mos Def. Mos Def has such a great stage presence, but I just got sick of it after 40 minutes.

Damn, Nas never showed up. Still a good day though, even though the padding on my shoes were broken and I literally blistered after 10+ hours of standing.

Some guy on the rock the bells message boards is saying he left the main stage to go see doom and he didnt even show up...wish i couldve seen public enemy with scott ian though...dang. and to not stay for rage, well thats just stupid, or maybe in your group of friends thats considered cool

Hey, what did you guys think of Pharoah? I think he reallly brought the energy up the show. Everyone was hyped for Simon Says. Personally, I got sick of Kweli and Mos Def, they sounded so similar and bleh. It felt like their two sets took fooorever. It was cool to see Wu Tang, but I thought they didn't sound so great on some songs. With them jumping in and out some seemed hard to understand.

The sound system was disappointing and so was Doom's set. Cypress Hill was most entertaining which says something. Mos Def was bomb. Didn't stay for Rage because I was sober and bored out of my ass.

I totally missed Sage Francis and Doom, damnit. But oh god, Rage's mosh pit...it seriously couldn't be any better. Public Enemy was incredible, and I was quite impressed with Immortal Technique. (And GI Joe is one hell of a DJ.)
