I'm a bit of an anomaly in that I've been listening to them and going to see them live since 1995 (I'm from Berkeley), but my favorite record of theirs is Decemberunderground. As fun as the early melodic hardcore material is, especially live, they became really good songwriters as time went on. Dave(y) wrote some excellent melodies for STS and DU, and I love the atmosphere on several of DU's deeper cuts.last month
