"Million Dollar Baby" is the second single and the first track from Ava Max’s second studio album, “Diamonds & Dancefloors”. The song was released 1 September 2022 after weeks of teasing the song on Tik Tok. The track samples the 2000s hit song, Can’t Fight The Moonlight, by LeAnn Rimes. It is a eurodance pop fusion, produced by David Stewart, Cirkut and Lostboy.
When Ava was creating this song, she was going through a very difficult time in her life—a broken heart and a lot of sadness. Ava was named ‘Million Dollar Baby’, because for her the song is for remember her self-esteem and she wrote the lyrics to show that you can overcome and anything when dedicated to it.
The song was sent to US AC radio on October 31, 2022 and to US Contemporary Hit radio on November 1, 2022. While it has not yet made it's way onto the US Billboard Hot 100, it reached the top 10 in 6 countries, Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Croatia, and Finland.
