The eighth song on Built to Spill’s album is about an idealized childhood love. Although the narrator of the song moved away from Twin Falls when he was young and appears never to have seen her again, he still thinks—and even dreams—about her. Doug Martsch, the frontman for Built to Spill, did grow up in Twin Falls, so it’s possible that there are some autobiographical elements in the song.
