Biography
Coalesced is a production and live act comprising duo Mike Bandoni & James Warren. Both are accomplished djs and their stock has rapidly risen since writing and producing together at the beginning of 2006 and taking an exciting live act on the road earlier this summer.
Mike & James come from divergent musical backgrounds - James gradually gaining a reputation as a meticulous programmer of quality digital mixes which he's now transferring into the live arena; and Mike with vast knowledge and experience in a whole raft of predominantly funk related projects, both as talented musician and dj. These varied musical upbringings have given the duo an added dimension lacking in much of today's dance music to enable them to come together to produce some of the most exciting and intelligent breaks music heard in recent times.
Rather than slavishly following the sample based path made easier by recent developments in software technology, Coalesced place greater emphasis on the musical structure of their tracks, by creating the majority of musical components themselves. This gives their music an added dimension, sometimes lacking in the world of looping and sampling.
