Dana Falconberry (born in Dearborn, MI, in 1981) is an American songwriter and musician based in Austin, TX. She is known for her songwriting that focuses on themes of nature and wildlife. Since 2011, she has mostly played (both live and on record) backed by her five-piece band composed of Christopher Cox, Gina Dvorak, Karla Manzur, Matthew Shepherd, and Lindsey Verrill.

Falconberry attended Hendrix College in Arkansas where she learned to play guitar and write songs. She moved to Austin, TX, in 2004 to turn her focus towards music. While in Austin, she fostered a career as a singer-songwriter, recording three albums, and touring the US, Portugal, Japan, the UK, and France. She also spent time as a singer in the folk band Peter and the Wolf.

In 2011, Falconberry recruited her current band to record "Leelanau", a set of songs inspired by her childhood trips to the Leelanau Peninsula. Leelanau, which features string arrangements arranged by bandmember Cox and performed by Austin’s Tosca String Quartet, was released on Oakland's Antenna Farm Records in 2012 and was followed by multiple tours of the US.

Austin Chronicle has said Falconberry is one of the city’s “most arresting female vocalists”. In 2011 she starred in the critically-lauded documentary on the Austin music scene, Echotone, a New York Times Critics’ Pick.

In addition to her solo work, Falconberry has worked extensively with her contemporaries, frequently collaborating with Matt Bauer (Brooklyn) and providing backing vocals for the Heartless Bastards (Austin) for some of their 2012 tour dates. She has shared stages with Okkervil River, Shearwater, Megafaun, Father John Misty and Dr. Dog, captivating audiences with her powerful live shows. In addition to extensive tours through the US, Europe, and Japan, Falconberry has recorded two Daytotter sessions and a Laundromatinee session for My Old Kentucky Blog.

Falconberry and her band have played on festivals including ACL Fest, SXSW Music Festival, and Noise Pop Festival.
