I can hear a lot of Killing Joke influences on this album, especially from their early 90's sound ('Extremities' & 'Pandemonium' albums in particular, etc), it's quite subtle, but it's definitely there. Hardly surprising I guess, any industrial metal band worth their salt has been influenced by KJ one way or another over the years. Still, very cool to hear it.

The first lowpoint in the discography from Fear Factory. Tried to hard to be Nu Metal.

Obsolete had a bunch of nu-metal elements, but that's not relevant vonNachtmahr's comment and they didn't make a comment about some other album.

I'm surprised this album is their most listened to. I think it's their worst album, but Transgression comes to being as bad. I can barely listen to this album. It's so bland and boring.

Dino is the one that mixed the songs together on the album and was the main producer of that album.

I like FF's other works a lot, but this one sucks pretty bad. I only like two or three songs.

After this album I lost interest. Need to relisten and see if it's any better than I remembered.

It has some Nu Metal elements in the way that Diabolus In Musica (Slayer) had some Nu Metal elements. Doesn't make it a Nu Metal record. This album does not deserve the hate it gets. Awesome record, but lagging just a bit behind Obsolete.

I really like this one. Definitely the most different album of FF. More melodic one with some modern music touches at the time. Great production!

I liked the demo version of Memory Imprints (Never end) kinda better, Their worst, but its not shit [4] i do enjoy digimortal, Hurt conveyor is amazing and so is Acres Of Skin.

transgression sucks way harder than this album. This album was high on concept, and mid-to low level execution musically speaking.

Fear Factory is NOT nu metal! I don't mind nu metal, but Fear Factory is in NO WAY a nu metal band. >:(

I dont see why this album is so underrated it sounds like Fear Factory. And it ends the trilogy. Nothing about it sounds Hip-hop. Great cd

So after countless listens to FF recently I have indefinitely chosen this album over Transgression. Digimortal at least has some traces of FF's trademark sound and great production, the COMPLETE opposite of Transgression, I can barely listen to it. Digimortal>Transgression.

Yeah I'm according to you. According to me it's a great album. It's good when a band try to renew is style and develop the sound... Digimortal is so modular and electronic with dark synths atmosphere. It's so different to Demanufacture, but I see this fact, so innovative. Better than Archetype to me.
