i just really like how noisy and raw this album is, compared to their other releases, its a lot more experimental in a way

Surprised to see that some people think this album is their worst, since it was the one that actually caught my attention, tried listening to F♯ A♯ ∞ and didn't like it that much, some time later (today) I listen to this for the first time and actually enjoy it

Well, got back and listened to F♯ A♯ ∞ and had different opinions about it this time, actually liked it! Glad this album made me give this band another chance

I think that's correct actually, Yanqui was closer to what I was expecting from the band at first

It loses something without the samples and spoken parts. Feels less like a GY!BE record and more like generic post-rock. Very good post-rock, but it's not the most varied genre.

If forced at gunpoint to choose, I'd probably pick "Motherfucker=Redeemer" as the greatest song ever recorded. The rest of the album is great too, but that song is probably their (and possibly, music's) crowning achievement.
