Hearing stuff from this album on their latest tour brought about a new appreciation for it. Massive riffs, and they sounded better than ever with this current lineup (Colin's bass tone tho).

Well, this is my first contact with Gorguts, and I found it awesome! This record have a very good production and cover art. Dan Seagrave did an excelent job in early 90's with many classic death metal albums \\m/

rimshot and hi hat execution is flawless. snare is used with moderation making it far from boring and redundant. drums on this are really catchy for death metal. god macabre's bass drum is comparable in terms of catchiness. Perfect coherent rough deep vocals. agreed with babbyDOTjpg, "not overly technical nor boringly simple". AND DAT ALBUM ART :F. This album is somewhere in my top 5 death metal releases for sure.

One of my fave albums I have heard, as said below, brutal and full of atmosphere. Essential DM album.
