I bought cassette Gorillaz in 2002 (or it was 2003) on the street. There were no "Double Bass" song on it and the songs were in a different order. The cassette is still gathering dust somewhere on the shelf with another two Gorillaz albums - "G-sides" and "Demon Days". Great album, what can I say. I love that trip-hop vibe on some tracks.

Remember the singles from being in High School in the early 2000s, but first really got into this album around 2011 when I was at an after work party in my flat. I remember after everyone had gone to bed, I thought the "Hello! Is anyone there?!" from M1A1 was coming from my wardrobe. There was about 20 seconds or so of sheer drunken terror until the music kicked in. Best album they ever did by a country mile.

I still remember very vividly when Clint Eastwood aired on MTV and I was like 6 or 7. At the time, I came back from school and my grandma used to make me lunch and my youngest aunt listened to a lot of music through MTV, VH1, etc. I was instantly hooked to the music, the visuals and the whole 'feeling' of their aesthetic along with some other bands like Korn, SOAD, Linkin Park, but this one stood up the most for me. It's been a while since those warm afternoons and I feel older everyday, but Gorillaz will remain to be one of the best bands ever.

What a great story, and it's so awesome to see people loving a band for many years and still enjoying their music. Sad when people lose that interest. Nice pfp. btw!

20 years flew by really quick, huh? And thank you for reading it and yes, we all love young Björk!

This was the album that got me into music. I'd always enjoyed music, but I remember listening to this album and realising just how diverse music could be. For myself and a lot of other people, this was the first album we'd heard that wasn't straight-forward pop or rock. It was so exciting and fresh. Honestly, it still is today. As a child, I'd listen to this record and then pluck away at my guitar, feeling inspired. I felt so cool singing along to "Punk" and would get so excited when the fantastic music video for "19-2000" came on TV. Thanks Damon (and Jamie)! Happy birthday 20th birthday!!!

Nearly two decades later, this remains one of the most eclectic and diverse albums I've ever heard. No matter how much my musical tastes may change over the years, there'll always be something on this release that'll keep me coming back to the well.

Their best album by a country mile. Everything after Demon Days has gotten worse and worse.

Really? Usually LSD does that.... coke just makes you a sweaty, boisterous, ego maniac.
