Biography

In Support of Living is the brainchild of Mississauga, Canada born Brad Ketchen
who first brought us Hollowphonic delivering a stunning release in 1999 called 'Phonic 50mg' and opened for International acts Low, Manic Street Preachers and Super Furry Animals. While hitting a wall in the Canadian music biz, Brad decided to create a more Electronic "arm chair idm" sound on his computer. He called it 'In Support of Living'. The name is a mystery as the band was formed. It wasn't supposed to be a 'band' as he already had Hollowphonic. But friends jammed and whoever partied the night before a gig, and had a violin or cello in their hand, were on stage the next day. Often the band before the audience met while the band soundchecked or took the stage! The idea was not to release a disc but to sell or simply give away demos. Play interesting places, not conventional bars, and to score films.

Today, In Support of Living is a full band comprised of Brad, Amy Pagnotta, David Capannelli and as Brad still puts it "a party of favourites". A full disc is in the works after 7 Years of activity.

Past members have fought on Brad's parents front lawn (though friends they remain), a singer slept through a gig, a Cello player went missing (who's face is not yet to be found on a Milk carton or the back of a Semi - good to know).

But it's In Support of Living after all and we forge on. Enjoy the music…
