Gotta appreciate the restraint on this one. Nice to hear some slowed down groovy metal, doesn't always need to be frantic crazy fast to be heavy

When it comes to how amazing this album is, it's pretty much on par with Sad Wings in that respect.

One of my favorites from Priest, for sure. Might even be my favorite of their 70s records, depending on which day I'm asked. Only Sad Wings might beat it.

The only flaw I can think of with this one is that "Beyond the Realms of Death" should've been the closer rather than "Heroes End." "Heroes End" is a fine song, but "Beyond the Realms of Death" is just too epic to follow.

Probably my favorite JP album of the 70's. It's a perfect mix of the epicness that was "Sad Wings Of Destiny" and what was about to come in the 80's. Great riffs and grooves all over this one.

this album is a CLASSIC! There was absolutely nothing like this when it came out. Even though the band's last two albums were heavy for their time, this album kicked the heaviness up a notch. Several notches in fact! Exciter is a metal classic, and a perfect opener. Rob wails like there is no tomorrow and the solos on here rule.

Weak? Are you mad? Beyond the Realms of Death have the best guitar solo in Metal history.

I don't think this album has enough strong tracks on it to be considered their best. None of the tracks on here are filler, but none of it is as good as the best stuff on Sad Wings except for Exciter or Beyond the Realms of Death.
