"D˃E˃A˃T˃H˃M˃E˃T˃A˃L" is the title track to Panchiko’s debut EP of the same name, which was released on June 18, 2000. The album was considered to be lost media until it was officially released by the band itself on Bandcamp.
The Sega Saturn CD warning from the videogame Burning Rangers is sampled during the bridge in this track.
The lyrics, according to Owain, are about the nu-metal music movement of the time period and about a girl -portrayed as a poser, who could be someone who Owain knows or a personification of what the culture of nu-metal is.
