the guitars are having a blast on this record, it's way more accessible than exploded drawing, so it's both a fun listen and a good sampler for polvo's work

words cannot describe my loathing for the alternate covers (the red one and the one with the animals on it. the plain yellow art is perfect.

iconic and innovating, the guitars sound like they're really having a lot of fun

I actually hated this album when I first listened to it. God, I was so wrong and stupid 5/5

Stinger not #1? What is this blasphemy? Seriously though, great album. My only nitpick is that I could probably do without Time Isn't on My Side. Those synths or whatever it is just seems to distract from the badassery that is this album. But really man, Stinger, dear fucking god. I went on a quest just to get the LP to hear it in all of Bob Weston's analogue recorded glory. Sometimes I wonder if Weston or even Polvo themselves were aware as it was happening how fucking amazing that song is.

I know it's weird, but I prefer the cover without the pink lion explosion. I got to know this album as the one "with the ugly plain mustard cover with nothing on it". It was mysterious. It let the songs speak for themselves, influenced only by a single color. The lions kind of ruin that mystique, and make it seem kind of lame.

Great album, indeed, but: @aplasticfeast, Spiderland was released in the 90s (and, goddammit, the album that you're using for your avatar)... Thanks, @syntaxfree, for the recommendation
