In 2011, I went to live in Austin. Unlike what most expect from a conservative state like Texas, Austin is one of the most open-minded and cultured cities in the United States. The city’s motto is taken quite seriously: Keep Austin Weird. I ended up staying in a large house, where there were at least a hundred others. During my stay, I encountered several amazing carefree people, many of whom were truly devoted to the idea of making music and enjoying life. Born in Volta Redonda, a city in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro, at the age of seven he moved with his family to the state capital.
