Biography
Ryan Morse is a singer songwriter from Hyde Park, Utah. He's been heavily involved in the humble music scene of northern Utah in recent years, participating in a variety of projects from a post-hardcore band Explain it! Inspector, an experimental post-rock three piece named The Analog Sprint, performed and recorded with a local talent Libbie Linton, and even contributed his folky/western guitar to a short lived Hip Hop/Slam Poetry project with Mason Johnson (formerly of The Analog Sprint) and Nickolas Crosby.
Recently Ryan Morse released a full length LP "Green is my Favorite Color, by Far" which, to date, is only available for purchase at his shows or by free download here at last.fm.
In 2007 Ryan Morse recorded and performed with Mo Eddie, a female singer songwriter from Logan, Utah, and a highly anticipated EP, set to release in the summer of 2008, never came to fruition with the bulk of recording finished and unused.
Morse, after a short sojourn in San Diego, is currently on tour on the east coast with the SLC based band Loom, doing photography and updating their blog www.loom801.blogspot.com. Upon return from the tour, Morse plans recording a new album and touring the west coast during the summer of 2010.
Possible touring mates are still up in the air.
Through all of his musical adventures, Ryan's natural voice and story telling ability seem to have found a home behind an acoustic guitar and the folk medium. His recent work reads as a very skilled guitarist, capable of great experimentation and innovation, searching instead for simplicity and a minimalistic approach to quality music.
