The 30 second part where the snare drum kicks in and starts building and building is one of the best parts in any song ever.

Last weekend I went with my girlfriend to Bansko, Bulagary for skiing. It was my first time, was hard as hell, on top of that we missed the last gondola elevator, so we were forced to go down by ourselves. My girlfriend rode better (she has been doing it for several years already) and I was exhausted, so I took off my snowboard, turned on this song and start smoking. What a great and unforgettabale experience it was. Forest, empty snow tracks and Jonsi's beautiful vocals echoing around.

Never got why people like this songs so much. The only Sigur Rós song I actually dislike. It's like they're trying really hard to cover up that the melody itself sucks, so they have just crammed in a lot of elements you would expect in a great Sigur Rós-song. A lot of fuss about nothing. But works on some people, I guess. The intro is nice, though.

the most amazing song ever created in the history of mankind! ♥ [5] this song breaks my heart then lifts it. the beauty and sadness of the first part makes me think of someone I loved and how she broke my heart. whereas the second part is the recognition that things will be better. when I’m listening to this song, I want to achieve something extraordinary, I wanna do the impossible.
