This was the last release The Stone Roses put out while they were together, and it didn't exactly typify their sound. Based around a frantic, pounding drum beat from Reni that was looped over and over, the un-uniform guitar loops and wobbling bass continually pound at you.
One of only two tracks that Squire and Brown co-wrote post 1990 (the other being ride on), this single was released in a cardboard sleeve, with pictures of the inside of floppy disks painted on the cover. John Squire said that he was being taught how to use a sampler by someone, but it was too much like a science lesson, so he smashed up the disks and made that artwork out of them.
