A prime league thrash metal record. These guys re-used Slayer's approach on 'Show No Mercy' here, a perfect balance between thrash metal riff attack, punchy skank-beats and more traditional-oriented melodic guitar solos. These work much better within this formula than pretty uninspired, though passable "chaotic" solos of later Slayer.

An amazing album. The sound of 80's thrash metal. It's a damn shame that even they couldn't stay that good. Their latest albums are ok, but ... can't even compare with this one.

My favorite thrash album of the 80's. Wore out my cassette player LOL. Check out Cro-Mags "Age of Quarrel" too. Both of these epitomised the NYC hardcore/thrash scene.
