ahah well led zeppelin's rendition of "gallows pole" remains one of my favorite banjo tunes of all time, so i'm not a complete hater :P. i'm glad you liked metalian man, one of canada's most underrated bands imo. and yeah ritchie blackmore invented speed metal, just look at the early shit he did with rainbow... fuckiiiin metal. whereabouts in the states do you live?

thanks brother! this puppy is my baby! yeah fuck led zeppelin, i'd argue that ian paice's drum style was way more revolutionary that fatboy beardo for led zeppelin, that bonham guy. plus ritchie blackmore is the most intense guitar player on the face of the planet ahaha. ian gillian's vocals on child in time, live in japan 1972 rival rob halford's also :P

late response what's that? ha. but I have real nice computer spearkers - like borderline surround sound with a subwoofer and everything - so the sound is good to me. but I've always prefered music projected than with headphones. headphones are more immersive I guess, but I dunno, I'd rather have the sound enveloping, so to speak.

and about the shout, I remembered your shouts back when you posted more regularly on this site. always saccharine, obscure, and witty - stuff I appreciate. my normal last.fm pen pals haven't been delivering, so I guess that's the random shout.

my real nice headphones were broke by my brother. he got hell for that, but now all I have are crappy earbuds. but I have real nice computer speakers, so that's what I tend to use. the mexican group, not so much. their greek recordings are most famous and that's what I got, but I tried looking for their traditional stuff and got nothing.

my external harddrive was probably the bestest purchase I've made in my life (so far). you can do it for your bestest purchase ever. thanks for the recs, knew about naked city but the rest are new. I'll get on those. now atrium musicae de madrid is really cool because they play ancient folk without mucking around in neofolk territory. they're the first artist I've found to do it right, probably because they're mexicans from the 70s, but still cool stuff.

did alternative metal exist before nu metal? I always thought it was a relatively new term. I have no clue, seriously. now, the music definitely existed before nu metal, whether or not the term did, but you're right, nu metal is a derivative. but as a derivative, I think it still can be put under the alt. metal umbrella.

I feel stunted. I'd show you my wrath, infidel, if I didn't leave it at home. so I'll just accept what's coming.

Regarding BMTH lyrics, I formulated the sentence in a bit weird way, but still, It's a matter of the point of view. If I don't count songs like "No Need For Introductions..." and "Football Season is Over", they actually... do have a meaning. But that's just the way I personally see it.

You say that BFMV rip off 80s thrash? I never heard any stolen riffs, sadly. Just similar manierre, even inspiration. But we can say the same thing about 80s thrash then, It was created from late punk rock mixing with NWOBHM. I wouldn't call that ripping off. BFMV made something new, that's what's important.

Thanks man! I try not to be an asshole because that definitely doesn't help change people's perceptions about BMTH's fans. Besides I hate when people talk shit about my music so I try not to do so to other people. You're probably right about the fact their heart isn't in the right place but that doesn't mean you can't make good music.
