I love that last.fm ranks us highly together owing to our shared affinity for Billie Marten, Burzum, and Lifelover. Truly, all black metal fans can appreciate this new crop of great female songwriters from Britain.

I used to worship Kari Rueslatten for years long as she possessed the most heavenly sound then I stumbled onto Billie Marten and her voice had me floating enchanted. So, I think that feeling is relatable and I find Billie Marten's listeners familiar with me :) I'd really appreciate any recommendations, btw. Salutes ^.^

I have some recommendations in mind, I have to say that I'm still in searching of more soundscapes that make me feel on the same way that Billie's music, so there's my little contribution: Soap&Skin, Susanne Sundfør, CLANN, Lucy Rose, Areni Agbabian, Siv Jakobsen, Ex:Re, Meimuna, Silvana Estrada, Wolf Larsen, Clio. That's what was on my mind, I'll brought more stuff when found something interesting, hope I've been helpful. Oh, and feel free to give me some recommendations as well, have a good day!

Thank you! I'm pretty familiar with most of the artists you mentioned, yet I might have to go through one more time. Though Billie is just another indie singer-songwriter, she is unique; her voice is one of a kind and her fingerpicking style is decent. So, I can't come up with right at the point suggestions. But I can offer some artists to check out. First, The Innocence Mission. A 90's classic and one of the favourite artists of Billie herself. I recommend the 2003's album, Befriended. And Jess Benko is a DIY-style singer-songwriter who reminds me of Billie sometimes. And last one, nowadays I am obsessed with Illudium. It's post-metal, doomgaze but one of my proud discoveries that I'd like to recommend :)
