Awesome library here... and super compatibility, too! Can I recommend "Pluto" by Maja Lena

Thanks for the recommendation. I really enjoyed it. In return have you ever listened to Jane Weaver? I couldn't see her in your library. Start with her most recent album "Flock" (2021).

Nice to see you're still scrobbling here! We both have Goat Girl in common, their new LP is album of the year so far for me. Hope you're well, cheers

It's rare that a film can be equal parts funny, thought provoking, and extremely sad.

So it is... not by design though. The icon is Phoebe Waller-Bridge (aka Fleabag).

I highly recommend the solo effort of Shana Cleveland's (La Luz' lead guitarist and vocalist) Night of the Worm Moon. Love this record at the moment. :)

Thanks, good shout. A pleasant, chilled departure from her work with La Luz, who I love already.

JG IS a lyrical genius!! And a regular genius genius, too. How was the gig in the end?

Mere words can't do it justice. I'll definitely see him play again the next chance I get.

Me too! He's pretty much the only artist I've been prepared to travel to pretty far away cities lately to see perform, even if I'm going alone. Obviously there's lots of other artists I'd love to see live, but a John Grant gig is a special thing. I'm taking a bunch of other people along next time though, looking forward to sharing the joy!

Lol - I do need to listen to her more though. In return, can I suggest that you give Jen Cloher another go? Her self-titled album was one of my favourites from 2017.

https://youtu.be/uWvoYy0r1h0 Well thank you kindly . . . After reading her biography I decided to go back to her roots and I selected *Red Room* from Jen Cloher & The Endless Sea - Dead Wood Falls album. I love her sweet breathy voice and lyrics. She's quite the talent and I look forward to hearing more!

The last three you've mentioned were superb records, those were some of my favorites this year. :) Haven't heard yet the new Liam Gallagher record, will listen to it. :)

Hi Phil, thanks for you shout. Just been looking at your library & playlist and it reminded me that the new Nadine Shah album was released this week - thanks for that, I'd forgotten about it! Random question - the world will end in an hour, which album do you play?

I'd probably choose (rather aptly) Things We Lost in the Fire by Low or Disintegration by The Cure.

So I'm part way through my 3rd listen and I'm completely hooked - Spooky Action is such a good album. I knew Paul wouldn't let us down.

Thanks : ) There are some artists in your library that I've never heard of or listened to before. I think I'll start with Hedgehog because they are from China and I know absolutely nothing about Chinese 'indie' music.

I listened to "Blue Daydreaming" by Hedgehog and I was very impressed by their sound. I'll definitely be playing that album again. So where are you from? I'm in the UK.
