I don’t explore many genres I don’t have roots or interest in. I did listen to Amy Winehouse recently which was jarring how different it sounded from anything I’ve ever heard. But I’ve always had roots in heavy metal, there are just so many bands I knew of or didn’t pay attention to that began to click only recently so I just began making mental notes of more bands I hear or heard about that might be of interest to me but I’m limited to how much I can listen if I want to also listen to my favorite bands or bands I’m currently exploring the discographies of.

I enjoy much more genres that I tend to listen to. There are no free time for all the great stuff indeed, even if listen to a lot of music every day, like I do. Have to focus 'solely' on the best of the best (or rather the most familiar). There is no rush, however, my musical diet will likely change slowly but significantly years after years.

It slowly had drifted to dance pop for awhile for me but it’s reverted back and I missed quite a bit since I last listened to heavy metal so I’m uncovering many bands I never had known of back then but now I’ve heard about from experience. It was also a genre that I quickly grew out of and really only listened to Black Sabbath, Metallica and Iron Maiden in large capacity. Still great bands but there’s so much more.
