Haha, actually you sent me a shoutbox message about Dr. Dog almost two years ago. So it's more of a rediscovery.

Thanks for the add! Dr. Dog is pretty sweet, I haven't listened to much of their stuff but I really liked what I did hear. Looks like you made a fan outta me.

There's this new artist who is really heavily influenced by Elliott Smith! You can listen to his entire album on last.fm for free! http://www.last.fm/music/asinglebiteofcherry/Cherry+Pi His sound primarily consists of guitar (mostly acoustic) and piano. He is on Facebook as well. From UK

Hahaha that is such a funny story, htank you for sharing that with me ;) Haha I have a verse from the song The End slipped inside the clear cover of one of my binders and my psych. teacher had a similar reaction, but everyone knows me at school (a very small school, only 400 kids) as the girl who loves Jim Morrison&The Doors, so it didn't matter much. Yeah I am still in this Doors phase, I feel like it is permanent though haha. Going to a concert tonight to see the last 2 members of the Doors, I am really excited ;) Thank you for accepting my friendship, take care....

Agreed but the fact that they are under rated works in my favor. I've been able to see them four times for a fairly cheap price and will be seeing them again next year. I probably wouldnt be able to do that with a band thats had more success. As for Dylan's 80s stuff I wouldnt rule it all out. Oh Mercy was pretty good. I pretty much ignored the gospel albums though. I've heard religious people like them but gospel music in general tends to put me off. I liked a few of his songs from those otherwise bad 80s albums. "Dark Eyes" being one of them. I liked his work with the Traveling Wilburys too.

scoff? I don't think I ever scoffed. Perhaps I was uninterested at the time, but never scoff. I just happened to DL their first album. It's ok, not great. Not mind blowing. CSNY are better, I think.

I'm not in Montreal yo, Eric and I are in Waterloo. And yeah, I usually have to go to bed after Eric has fallen asleep, just so he doesn't take advantage.

Hey by the way, the guy didn't have a banjo! It was a djembe drum. Kinda different. And that's the only one I can really hear on the recordings. Back at the house we did jam and me and Matt gave him space for a didjeridoo solo. It was sweet.

Let me think for a minute son. Yes I think it can be easily done. Just take everything down to Highway 61. Sharp ears, Stefan. Keep them clean.

I'd sure dig a copy of that. Some real gems on there. I was reminded of it when listening to Leaving Town Blues. I remember there's something similar to that on yours that has a fiddle in it. Sounded fantastic! And yes, I did lend you that FM cd. Strange how I don't have it anymore.... kidding kidding. I've burned a copy from Sam anyhow.
