Right lol. That's my main problem with a lot of live stuff is that they don't record it with the intention of it being a live album half the time and even if they do, they don't do a good job of the mixing it or setting the equipment up so that it records well enough. So yeah, you lose a lot of why I like to hear things live. Oh well -_-

One more thing though, I kinda disagree at least sound wise that a good live can't be reproduced. The atmosphere and everything else(like 70% of what's good about live performances lol) can't be reproduced but on some serious audio equipment....I was just taken back by how satisfying it can sound. This was a $4k system though so I can't say it's for everyone lol. And that's rather inexpensive in the high end speaker world too....

Right, that's the most important thing to remember is that no matter what anyone tries to say, music and tastes are almost completely subjective. I hate people who go around trying to say others have terrible taste in music. It just makes absolutely zero sense to me. You and that person's pallet may not agree with each other but unless you are discussing things like composition and technical theory based arguments, it is just silly to act like your tastes are refined or superior.

LOL, I just...ugh. Like I believe in stripping down music and using what you have to work with to it's fullest, like chip tunes. But I have a hard time coming around to indie rock/pop which a lot of it just seems to disregard the bigger elements and just focus on the small parts. Like, they may have a full band, but the focus is really on the little things and mostly disregarding strong composition values. That may just be the musician in me though. It is a completely different story live wise though, because that's where I feel it can shine, with performances, but I'm not really into going out and seeing shows. I'm more of a home listener. But anyway, yeah, I still think medium is good. I have a very wide range of music tastes and people I listen to(as you can see by the fact my highest played artist is only 1.1K lol). I find it hard to have really a deep compatability with anyone because of that.
