You left a comment on my page an age ago...Over a year. Just checking in with you! YES, I actually am familiar with all those bands you'd listed, big fan. Suppose your inquiry about Lemongrass is out of date. Oh well, get back at me some time and we can swap some new tunes. Take care, pal.

Top three live shows 1, Kula Shaker @KOKO Camden. Mind blowing. Most ecstatic atmosphere I've ever experienced at a gig: clouds of nag champa billowed from giant incense holders all around and Crispin Mills jumped around singing about love in his little penguin suit. Brilliant. 2, Sigur Ros @ colchester arts centre before they got really big. Everyone sat around on the floor of a church while he played his guitar with a violin string and sang with such a voice it brought tears to my eyes. 3, A place to bury strangers, last year, drunk, ecstatic, crazy strip-light flashing, mind and ear-blowing guitars! Was deaf for like two days after.haha. Brilliant. And yours? :)

:) No worries, Greetings and salutations from England! Thank you for the lovely long message .... it is cool being near to London for music, also for art and theatre e.t.c :) but you must get a lot of cool bands too! Ah, yeah the my mix feature is cool, I think I discovered Trust on youtube, God knows how, haha, but they blew me away, Just my sort of thing :D "I'm dressed for space now, can i go?" can't beat lyrics like that! and the dark, sexy beats. Ah! they are so good. Gutted I missed them in London as I had no one to go with (sadface) haha. Right, my favourite Santigold tracks, I absolutely LOVE 'Starstruck'. Probably one of my all-time favourite, minxy tracks and i like the 'fuck it' attitude too. 'L.E.S Artistes' is great too (she takes a pop at the pretentious musicians coming out of the lower east side of NY) ... 'superman' 'disparate youth' and 'lights out' are really good too. x

Why thank you. I must say I'm probably even more evil then when I last took that test, it just continues to fester and grow. I'd be happy to recommend you some Kate Bush. I suggest you try The Kick Inside, Never For Ever, and The Dreaming first. All very good albums that have a tad different aspect of her sound. I hope you enjoy her music.

Don't worry, I will attend one soon ;) and thanks for sharing Kontravoid, he was cool! I'm sure he was a great opener for Crystal Castles, they both have similar sounds.. different but similar if you can make sense of it. It reminds me of Kraftwerk anyway. Have you heard Danger? There have been some unreleased demos from 2005-2007 that have just leaked which you can listen to here: http://vk.com/fanpagedanger. Just scroll down to find the tracks. You might like 13h36, 22h11, 4h13. Check em out ~

Thanks for the add! As a fan of three-chord punk rockers (Ramones) and irreverent fun (Grand Buffet), I have chosen THIS for you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzUGRpbgytE

The playlist isn't really a new album or anything. It's sort of the intermingling of their two albums OK Computer ('97) and In Rainbows ('07) which were released 10 years apart. Anyway you alternate between OK Computer and In Rainbows (see playlist and more info here: http://puddlegum.net/radiohead-01-and-10/) and everything sort of meshes together - the sounds and lyrics from one song blends into the next with little complication, transcending time. It's a very, very interesting experience and if you have some time I'd recommend downloading the complete playlist and having a listen. Ahh, I haven't been to a Crystal Castles show yet but I'm in love with Alice Glass so as soon as I can scrape up some dough and they make their way around here, I'll check it out. Agreed on Radiohead's King of Limbs - seems to be the incipience of a creative drain?

No problem! Ahh, you are very lucky.. I would loove to see Radiohead live. Have you heard the 01 10 playlist by the way? It gives me chills.. I agree - the new album is very dark and in a sense more mature than their earlier work (which I still love). It didn't latch onto me right away but after a couple listens, I truly saw it for what it was. It seems like the longer they're alive, the more somber and dark they are.. which is something I can completely relate to. My favorite is probably Plague. I watched a video of one of their shows in the UK I think it was near Thanksgiving and Alice was paying tribute to a huge fan and friend who had passed away from cancer a few days before the show. Ethan was playing Plague as Alice lit candles for the fan and it's the most haunting thing I've seen.. she was very emotional during that performance and I could sense that from a video. Must have been surreal live.

Ahh, I haven't properly listened to the Bloody Beetroots in about 4 years.. so I tried everything out and it really depends on what you're looking for. The interesting thing about BB is they're sort of all over the place. The safest entry point for any Beetroots beginner is probably Romborama... from fidget house to ethereal tunes to hip hop beats, there's something for everybody, haha. As a Justice fan, you'll probably appreciate Butter and Storm. My personal favorites from the album in addition to Butter and Storm are Warp 7.7, Have Mercy On Us, and House No. 84. Also highly recommended is The Best of Bloody Beetroot Remixes Album. Good remixes include Escape, Funk, and Shoulda. Give these a try and let me know your thoughts! Haven't seen a Radiohead show yet but it's high up on my priority list. As soon as I acquire some currency.. have you? And thoughts on CC's (III)?

I know it's almost been a full year since I got your comment. I'm rarely on my last.fm account, But, the Antlers is an awesome band! Peter Silberman's vocals is haunting, pretty much adds a lot of atmosphere to the music. If you like alternative, then you should really listen to them, You shouldn't be disappointed! My favorite piece by them is in the attic of the universe, should give it a listen!

Haha.. yes, I used to work from home and last.fm was a constant source of distraction. You have awesome taste in music! Few artists on there i should probably check out - I've not really paid much attention to boards of canada, but if our compatibility is anything to go by I'd probably love them!

Thank you :) No, I haven't heard that album yet. And no, I don't collect vinyls, just cd's (vinyls are nice too though). It's just that I don't have money because I don't have a job. Have you checked my cd wishlist? It's on my rateyourmusic.com page, the link is on my last.fm profile. I update it quite often, there's so much nice music :p
