Yeah mate, I did an IT related degree. I used to really like Sigur Ros. Used to play Takk... religiously! I got the newish album Valtari, but have only listened to it a few times and didn't enjoy it as much as Takk... They have a newer album out too which I haven't got, is it worth a listen?

I think its good. Like really good. I got into them about 6 months after Boxer, so I had a big back catalogue to listen to for about 2 years before High Violet came out, so i've listened to the last two albums in a totally different way to their other stuff. High Violet promised alot but I think it was totally overworked and overproduced in the end, the singles and B Sides that came out around it were better than half the album. But this album just feels really spot on, it sounds like Boxer and it has cool details like synths that remind me of sad songs for dirty lovers.

Hey VanThem! We saw that you have a pretty good taste in music and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We have a couple of songs up that we would love if you checked out! VIDAR - Phoenix and VIDAR - Ships. Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Heres a bit of a list for you, Twin Shadow, Friends, Frank Ocean, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Alt-J, Jessie Ware, Echo Lake, Wild Nothing. They've all brought out good albums this summer, some are growers, others are pretty straight forward. Frank Oceans not really my kind of thing but I think its a good album.

I ended up seeing Grouplove randomly on my own this weekend whilst away I was away with some friends, I remembered you'd recommended them so I went along. There music isn't really to my tastes overall, they're just a bit too overly cheerful, but I like a few of their songs and they're good musicians.

Alright pal, sounded brilliant that. I'm not a big kooks fan either, without getting all hipster, what is there music actually saying? Its run of the mill blandness with little point these days. Arctic Monkeys were awesome when I saw them, just as a spectacle I thought they were class. I've been listening to The Maccabees new album lately. Never been that big a fan but I've given this album a good listening and it did admittedly take a while but I think its really good. I also love a guy called John Maus and a band called Balkans.
