Hey, I’m a student at UCL and for my dissertation I’m doing some research into audience experience at live indie gigs. I’m looking for people who have been to at least one indie gig in the past year to answer some questions about the gig they have attended. The questions can be found at: http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=LKOMM_21485bf1 Thank-you very much for your help, it is very much appreciated :) Louise --------- Ps Your answers will be especially valued as you are a member of a group which has a clear definition of indie- my research is looking at the difference between what some people consider indie (e.g. poppy stuff v. independent music). Thank-you!

Well, "De Stijl" & the 3rd one are quite good too, but I really don't like "Elephant" and the following albums. I understand your point of view, though. Also, there's a good bootleg compilation with their b-sides and rarities ("On the flipside" or something like that).

Hey, that's funny! I think the White Stripes first album is their best... Anyway, it's the only one I really like to listen to.

oh Boris seemes fun :) Well you should check out Meshuggah if you like music with motion and makes you want to move :P Meshuggah But in heignsight... I doubt you'll actually like it until after you've heard it a couple of times :P You've got to listen to it while being drunk to get into it if you don't like it.. But I hate grindingmetal (just fast fast fast beats and screaming like bastards..) In my point of view Meshuggah really delivers to what I like.. Bass and the feel of floating without knowing where or how... Just the small sudden *thumps* in your body where you actually'd like to be playing the piece live and suddenly start to jump :)

Yet a good statement :) And a reason to why I can't stand techno :P What's your view about death metal :P? I'm currently listening to a band called Meshuggah. Their riffs are really weird, there a math / experimental death metal band. But the math isn't there, cause the feel in their songs are incredible. I'm not really a metal fan, but this makes me crazy...

A month after I created this profile Dream Theater was the only band i listened to, cause I liked their "progressive" style.. Found out about Tool... Heard the song Forty Six & 2... Dream Theater ripped the primary riff from the song and used it in their song Home... And totally screwed it.. + I'm passed the "progressive" style of a music pattern produced only by their mathematical brains... Music isn't math.. It's like wine in a wineglass, it should be easy, with a twist of variation, nice flow and a great end:)

Hey - I'm your mixtape partner for this month, I think. I've pretty much almost finished your mix - is there a preferred format you'd like me to send it in? Are you an AppleMan?
