Hey I gave your library a try and listened to ten songs with the integrated youtube player. You might ask why I do this, it's because I want to listen to my "followers" library and get a feeling what they are listening to, although I prefer calling them friends. 01. In Angles - They're Giving Out Freebees, 02. Inevitable End - Collapse in Reverse, 03. Knocked Loose - Small Victories, 04. Car Bomb - Cielo Drive, 05. Plebeian Grandstand - Aimless Roaming, 06. Deathspell Omega - Malconfort, 07. Gorguts - Absconders, 08. Imperial Triumphant - Crushing The Idol, 09. Diskreet - Graves, 10. Sickening - The Prophecies Of Eibon. I really enjoyed the more dissonant bands and tracks, while the last two tracks weren't much to my liking. Overall a good playlist.

Unfortunately since Periphery is the "in thing", a lot of Sumerian bands are going that route. It's definitely not like Veil of Maya's previous stuff, but I liked the overall production. One of the songs had a brief Fates Warning vibe. I liked a lot of the tones and guitar parts. Some of the melodies were a surprise, just because it was an odd departure from previous material. I had to give it a few listens, because there were some WTF moments. I would say it is an interesting album.

Your welcome! I would start with Deathspell Omega - Si monvmentvm reqvires, circvmspice // Fas – Ite, maledicti, in ignem aeternum // Paracletus though as those albums are most important for influencing this niche in orthodox black metal.

I know a couple but I wouldn't put them in the post-black metal category as that sound is pretty exclusive to the avant-garde side of the French black metal scene. I guess first things first, are you a fan of Deathspell Omega and/or Blut Aus Nord? They influenced all these type of bands like Imperial Triumphant, Svart Crown's last 2 records, Dodecahedron and Ved Buens Ende are what come to mind (although to my knowledge there aren't very many bands that play this kind of stuff.) Dodsengel - Imperator and most of Nightbringer's latter discography while not identical is also pretty similar to that vein, hope that helps!

It depends by the song or the band. I dig harsh voices. Travis Ryan and Dax Riggs above all!
