Heh, I'm incredibly envious right now :) I saw a few good shows last month, but would have probably traded it all to see Boris again. Going to California in August to visit some friends, hopefully there'll be some good bands in the area while I'm there.

Several summers ago in San Fransisco, yes. Seems like ages ago. They're playing Flood in Phoenix (several hours drive from Vegas) and I would definitely make the trip but my friends here aren't interested because of work and class. As well as them not being really big into droney, psychedelic, ambient metal bands from Japan :\ But I hope you have a blast!

Yes, I'll be going! Though, I was really looking forward to camping, but those tickets sold out the first day, so I had to settle for regular festival passes. Don't know where I'm going to be spending the night, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there! Heh.

Freefest!, you're going to Coachella!? Maybe I'll see you there; I didn't really have an intention on going until I saw the lineup last night -- add that to the relatively close proximity and I would never forgive myself if I missed it. If I can organize something with a few of my friends here I'm definitely going to try and make it!

I actually missed out on seeing Cohen last year when he was in town. Both my English professors went though, haha! Definitely going to try to make it this time around. And Eno's new album is incredible! The style of the music caught me by surprise, but it's actually very fitting considering it's a Warp release. It starts out very typical Eno (reminds me of Ambient 2 with Budd), then midway through the album there's a mix of Aphex Twin style drill n bass thrown on top of some very experimental krautrockish guitar. Indeed, it's one of Eno's finest and most imaginative releases in awhile.

Amazing. First time I've ever seen Boris live; opened with Farewell and I got goosebumps! We were way in the back, but you could still feel the bass drum in your chest. Really wish I could of stayed in California longer, so many shows I wanted to see. The music scene in San Francisco is so much better than in Las Vegas (saturated by the casino industry's monopoly on entertainment -- it mainly caters to tourists and will try, more often than not, to draw in big name, mainstream performers over established independent acts). We also went to the Outside Lands Music Festival in Golden Gate Park, which ironically enough, is the festival that replaced Vegas' Vegoose Music Festival :P Also good to see we're back up in compatibility! Haha.

Yes, I'm excited! It's the last show I'm seeing here before I have to go back to Vegas next week for class. The Bay Area has a tremendous music scene; I don't want to leave!

I certainly remember seeing some of the interviews and impressions of it on youtube, but wasn't aware of a new one. I'd love to have it projected on a wall, like those psychedelic liquid light and oil projections bands so fondly used in the late '60s. Sort of what 77 Million Paintings reminds me of, but with more a tranquil or ethereal quality, I guess. Generative art is definitely fascinating.

A mí también, de hecho es de mis favoritos de Baudelaire. ¿Has escuchado la versión musicalizada del poema por Stereolab?.
