I'm completely obssessed with Hunter's compositions, they're so stunningly gorgeous, they are complex and monstruous, they sound so so glorious and big... Also i have this feeling of being in touch with something sacred, like, liturgy's music feels religious or visionary in a way...

Hopefully! The KEN mode one is super important for me. Birds in Row is incredible and I haven’t seen them since way back during The Chariot’s farewell tour, and Infant Island is an amazing band local to my area. They just put out their debut album which I think is a screamo masterpiece. Give it a listen: https://infantisland.bandcamp.com/album/infant-island Not to mention KEN mode and Birds in Row’s new albums are their best ones yet.

Haha, yup. I mean, I think "Aftermath" is beautiful – a rare moment for them. Their singer's clean vocals sound so lovely. After that, she goes back to her usual screaming, but I love the post-rock influence throughout the album. "A Flood of Light" and "Contretemps" are phenomenal songs with amazing climaxes that take my breath away.

This is honestly something I think about often. Lately, I can't decide between an isolated cabin in the woods of either the Pacific Northwest or Scandinavia...like Sweden or Norway, or a tiny apartment in the heart of the Tokyo Metropolis. I love cities – NYC will always me my home in my heart – but I also want to get more in touch with nature since I was surrounded by buildings and concrete my whole life. How about you?

My all-time favorite is Cowboy Bebop. I also highly recommend Zankyou no Terror if you, too, love Bebop. Shinichiro Watanabe directed it and worked alongside Yoko Kanno again to produce an absolutely gorgeous soundtrack for it. It's one of my favorite soundtracks of anything ever. Anyway, other than Serial Experiments Lain, I also love Sword Art Online (if ya got a problem, fight me :P), Toradora!, Aku no Hana, No Game No Life, Shirobako, Death Parade, Barakamon... There are plenty that I still need to watch. Check out MAL: https://myanimelist.net/profile/procellous

For the longest it was The Fragile, but then Year Zero came around and stole that title. That remains my favorite NIN album, although I do think that Add Violence is their best work since then. I also really love The Slip, With Teeth, Broken, and the Closer to God EP. I think The Downward Spiral is good, but overrated.

does *anyone* outside jp have that boris/endon split cassette? because it kills me a little inside every time I think about it. also, how are you? I'm too broke to go to concerts anymore, like broker than broke, but maybe next year, since Muji has been treating me well...
