yeah I read that rip it up and start again book a couple years back -gotta do a re-read as I'm sure I missed out on some interesting bits. such a great book though. focused mostly on the post-punk kinda early 80s stuff which I was right into at the time. can't go wrong with gang of four. art of noise are kinda eh overall, they do have some really interesting sounding tracks - first few off in visible silence are great. that dj food thing was way interesting, I'm studying new media at university so the whole "mashups are a new form of music/artform" thing is something I always enjoy learning more about.

I love the Beta Band ! - just kidding - I understand - for me it's Beck and Radiohead that have crept their way into my top artists while I wasn't looking.

Autoplate was definately the strong point of Thinnerism. But there were some gems on Thinner too. Be interesting to see what the new releases are like , now that the label is coming out of hiatus.

argh, most enjoyable EP. can't think of what to follow it with, last.fm suggests The Nomad but he doesn't have your glittery glitchy summer sounds. dilemma dilemma.

Ha ha..Hang on JJ, I need to find my 'step'ladder if you want to play 'Step To Me'..I'm really only 3 inches tall.True..BTW Tiger Tones album is 55 mins and 5 seconds long...times that by the number of 'scrobbles' and that answers your question directed towards Mr. Fraserhead...
