I'd love if you improved every single album art for Kanye's albums. Doing God's work.

Let's go spend 12 hours of our day discussing our faiths. Let's even build a house for us all, eat together, live together and share the same dreams. But let's keep our prayers and rituals separated. That's basically what an Orthodox should be saying, in my opinion. There's no harm. I mean, to you, a Christian from another Church is just a good man who happens to be ignorant on certain matters or hasn't been able to understand your perspective yet. And it's true. We're not praying to the same God. On a quick glimpse, we all share some prayers and ask God for the same things. But we disagree a lot theologically - yes, so much that we are technically praying to another God.

The "Genuine Orthodox Christians" (people using the old Julian Calendar) think that the Orthodox Church has gone astray because we adopted the Gregorian Calendar (<---not true exactly, we're using the so-called "Revised Julian"). This is supposed to change the time we celebrate Easter, conflicting with a very early Ecumenical decision as to how we're not supposed to ever move the date. So, you have the "old-calendarists" who are a step before becoming actual zealots; they are obsessed with ecumenism. Not inter-faith dialogue, they just don't like the idea of joint prayer, let alone partaking in non-Orthodox rituals! That's the most hardcore opinion you'll get on the matter and it's usually the old-calendarists and most "old-school" monks that support it. There are, of course, many Orthodox Christians (new calendar) who fight ecumenism and religious syncretism a lot. I'm with them, they're right.

That looked weird, that comic. That ending...not sure if the lyrics are related to the song. Oh, and, please - just relax. I think I won't die any time soon, so my Last.FM will always be open for your reply!

Hey. I saw your post on Vangelis' page saying you lost your collection. That sucks, man. You should do what I do and just download the rare stuff. I notice you have several editions of Blade Runner. Do they include any tracks the 25th Anniversary release doesn't? I'm always trying to get complete collections of Vangelis works if I know I don't have them all.

Oh man....it's Eraserhead.... Actually this video/song is very atmospheric...it's like that stage between being awake and asleep. Actually after watching this I am very sleepy--I'll listen to the other two in the morning. Night~ get some rest.

Amazing video! I think you may have sent that to me a while ago, but sadly I can't remember >_< Anyways, thank you for showing that to me again. Does that man read poetry, or does he also produce the songs?

Yess! It is from The Little Prince! I read that book a few days ago and I think I'm a little obsessed now. It's the best thing I've read in a very long time, and I plan on reading the French version (to the best of my ability) very soon~ i was really touched by the story, the narrator, the prince, the rose, the fox, everything...I was surprised it moved me so much, seeing as it's supposed to be a child's book.

This sounds very Vocaloid-esque~ This kind of music also seems to have provoked some rather philosophical comments.

Ooh, the dark colors of the paintings seem like something you'd really like! My favorites are "David With the Head of Goliah" and "Narcissus" I had no idea 4chan contained such culture!

In situations involving divorce/cheating spouse, my heart breaks for the kid. I remember when my parents broke up, and I realized my father was living with another woman who had children...that was a terrible time for me as kid. I hate seeing families on TV series break up, which happens basically all the time now, and the poor kids are stuck in the middle, basically growing up with a really pessimistic view on marriage and relationships. It also irks me when they interview the kids and ask them idiotic questions like "How does this make you feel?"

"Someone with no drawbacks at all"...it's going to be pretty difficult finding a perfect person! At least you can stay chilled-out, sometimes people get really shaky and nervous :o

I think that is really interesting. I mean, we have that in the US, but only to a certain degree. There are waay too many factions of Christianity for one to ever gain too much power over the others (excluding Catholicism), and too many atheists/agnostics who just think they are all crazy. Actually, a few evangelical churches are supporting Rick Perry as the main republican candidate for the presidency next year, yet since Perry became governor of Texas, he has authorized over 234 executions. Sometimes I wonder just how desperate the GOP is...

That's true, but I hope it won't be as stressful, especially with the college thing, for you. I just feel like suddenly my whole future has to be planned out in a way...and I don't usually like to make long-term plans, I have more of a go-with-the-flow attitude. Believe it or not, I still have quite a few papers to hand in >_< I think I'm going through a mid-teen (quarter-life?) crisis. I want to do something really adventurous before I'm forced to have a "stable" job and support a family or something of that nature down the road. I wouldn't mind living extremely modestly, just doing art, blowing around from place to place, meeting people. In a way I guess I feel like the people in charge of this college process are more concerned about hurrying us into "adult life" when we don't even know who we are yet...

I really like this type of Western music...it's sweeping and wide just like the Old West. ^_^ Reading Walt Whitman while listening to this completes the mood.

Another lovely piece from Service. Somehow he managed to put a cute twist on something so morbid. It's refreshing to read a good poem that has such ease (as opposed to classroom textbook poems). Here's a poem I've been reading over and over lately: http://www.princeton.edu/~batke/logr/log_026.html You don't need to read the whole thing, just section 6 (7 is good, too). I'll let it speak for itself.

No--you've never sent me that Venetian Snares song before. I really liked both the video and song; actually, whoever produced the video had a perfect vision of the music in mind.

I guess it would help if I actually knew something about My Little Pony. Back in my day, they were just strangely smooth looking, neon plastic things that ended up as pet toys. I feel old...now apparently they have "swag".

That Sun O))) is actually kind of nice...well, it is kind of creepy when the screaming sets in, but otherwise it's like I'm even sitting in a cool, darkened room with amplifiers being turned on and off in rhythm, especially the beginning minutes.

Sorry again...I think this is the longest I've gone without writing, which is kind of terrible. This week has been somewhat of a whirlwind. My stomach condition worsened so I actually had to go to the doctors' (and miss even more school). As chatting with you on here is one of the few things I can do (happily) not related to school/college right now I feel bad :(

Ahh man, nothing is seriously wrong with it, I hope? I guess it's that time of year when the cold comes back with a vengeance :( Unfortunately I missed like 2 days of school, which actually equates to 5678976578 days of make up work, heh. Was the pilgrimage with school? It would be a bit ridiculous to ask students to drive an hour and a half for something like that. A self-righteous bishop...hmm, I never heard of that before >_>
