Hey bro, sorry I've just seen this, I don't think I've replied yet. I used to go and see them waaaay before their debut even came out so a few of their old demos before they got swept up into the indie era of that time which lasted about 5 years didn't it I think? They were huge along with artic monkeys demos. I loved indie music then due to all the artists releasing basically the whole album in Tracks here and there and most were 90% better than the album ones. Everyone had been hearing the P detectives for about a year or so before they even dropped an album. I have their first few 7 inch records before the album was even throught about. But in answer to you question the demo of I'm not sorry was the one for me. Those bands that came out and all had demos were amazing, Jamie t and the likes. Only a few survived our of so so many. 1 band i was so bad to see go was the Paddington's. What a great band. I only if they hadn't got lost in all the indie music great band. Yours?

haha you could say that. Though i wasn't impressed with Tangerine Reef, It was terrible for them. I get their music is challenging to some people, but this was too challenging. ODDSAC was far far better, and actually had a couple of actual songs on it haha. Tangerine Reef was poor all around. Whats your favorite album or EP/DVD?

I think that too, they are very spiritual and takes you to another peaceful place when you listen to it. whats your fav ANCO album then? "Strawberry Jam" for the old skool fans, and for the new its got to be "Painting with" for the newbies ahah

I love panda bears solo stuff, especially that album. I have a massive vinyl box set of Tomboy which I love, plus his Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper vinyl. I still haven't played my crackbox vinyl box set. I'm keeping it in my collection as it's so rare. I have it on MP3 though. I did have a rip of the audio from oddsac which was good. Some weird stuff on there, but not as weird bordering poor tangerine reef.

That's good to hear. I'm doing fine. Just busy with a new job. Yeah someone mentioned something but I didn't actually check it out until I read your comment just now. Very cool news indeed! Now we just need another studio album (please). I see that you've listened to Battles recently. They are another band on my list to check out. From what I've heard from them, they seem pretty awesome.

Nope! My parents were born and raised in Johannesburg in South Africa but they moved to Kent (for whatever reason, since my mom's side of the family moved to Bolton). I hope they go to London as well. My friend told me that they're really massive to see live. In fact, I can imagine No Love and The Powers That B taking down the chandeliers hahahaha. Death Grips is the kind of music where you wanna start a fire and throw something in it and nobody should be allowed to miss that. And by the way why were you disappointed in PBVSGR? I quite liked it, while it wasn't as great as Person Pitch I really liked it, especially the songs Boys Latin and Acid Wash. Except my local record stores demanding $40 for the vinyl is pretty damn ridiculous

I agree. There were only a handful of songs I liked off Invaders Must Die but TDIME is much more memorable. I don't even care about anything else that's coming out later this year because Jenny Death is already AOTY. I was going to ask if you got Death Grips tickets since I snagged them and the SF tickets sold out in an hour but then I saw your location was the UK and not the States and now I feel bad hahahaha hopefully they come around to where you are though. I'm actually from the UK! I was born in Kent but moved to California when I was 5. I don't remember anything that well aside from a snow day when I built a snowman with my father. Nobody believes me because I don't have the accent but I do have my passport. :=)

Hey dude awesome charts! We have a lot in common which is super cool. What did you think of the new Prodigy album? I personally love it, and it's really grown on me, which seems to be a really unpopular opinion.

Ah damn. Yeah, I had a feeling it wasn't going to go through. I think it has something to do with me not having a Facebook anymore. Ah well, guess we'll just have to do the 'old fashioned' way of sharing music online. Oh free? Nice. I'll give CD 2 of their new album a go sometime either today or tomorrow hopefully. Btw, would you ever have any interest in jamming some tunes online sometime? There's this music website I frequent called plug.dj, and you can listen to music with other people. Lemme know if you want to give it a shot. Oh cool. Hope you enjoy the BOC. Here's one from MHTRTC that I've been enjoying: roygbiv

Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm alright. Yeah, I'm kind of getting acclimated to BOC myself, as i'm not very used to that sort of hip hop beat sound. But it's starting to grow a bit on me. I've heard many great things by Death Grips. I tried listening to the Exmilitary EP at another persons suggestion but I just couldn't get into it much. I'm not really into hip hop these days, but I appreciated the experimental nature of their music. However, I'll have to go back at some point and check them out. What do you recommend starting with for someone who's not really into hip hop, or am I asking for an impossible task? haha. Ok cool, I just followed you on Spotify as well, but I seem to be having trouble sharing tracks with people so lemme know if you got the track I just sent you (as a test).

Hello my friend. How've you been? I just started listening to Boards of Canada, so I don't know much more than you (or maybe even less). I think I spun their highly acclaimed album Music Has The Right To Children a month ago, but I didn't really go back and listen to it until this past week. I've played it a few times since and it's starting to grow a bit on me. That and Geogaddi seem to be their two most highly acclaimed albums, though I haven't listened to Geogaddi yet. But as I listen to more of them I can shoot you any recommendations (and feel free to do the same). What have you been listening to as of late?

Yeah, I was listening to the Grass EP a couple of days ago and it really clicked for me. Some good stuff on there. Must Be Treeman is so out there. It might be the 'weirdest' song by AnCo that I've heard so far. Sounds like aliens. Fickle Cycle is also very good. I find myself walking around going "Fickle Cycle, Fickle Cycle, Fickle Cycle." Fall Be Kind is a great choice. I listened to that today. Yeah, I'd be interested in that for sure. Thanks!

That's awesome. They are really great, and unique, which is always something to respect. I started listening to them about a year ago, and they are definitely within my top 5 favorite bands of all time now. Yeah, I've been listening to more Strawberry Jam lately. My favorites off of it are Peacebone, Unsolved Mysteries, Chores, For Reverend Green, #1, and Derek. But I do dig them all. Yeah, Merriweather is probably my favorite of theirs if I had to choose. Fall be Kind, Prospect Hummer, People, Feels, and Sung Tongs I dig a lot as well. I haven't listened that much to the new album, but it has some good stuff on it. What are your thoughts on Slasher Flicks?

They are truly fantastic. You'll be disappointed to know that as big an AnCo fan as I am, I still haven't checked out their entire catalogue. But I'm sitll fairly new to them (been listening for less than a year). But I will be checking out the rest of it in due time. I haven't really listened to Slasher Flicks. What are your thoughts?

Yeah they played all the songs from the album. Some of the stuff they played (normally just introductions to some of the songs) were different from the album itself, kinda like new stuff I guess. They didn't perform an encore tho.

DUDE. I saw them live last night, and the performance was amazing. I even smoked some green before the show started, it was pretty awesome.

I hear that! It's still not 100% confirmed, but I'm most likely going to see Slasher Flicks in a few weeks, and if my calculations are correct, it's going to be AMAZING.
