ok that makes sense why u listen to so much... i mainly listen to music when im in the studio doing editing, on the computer or via my phone, but i notice u listen to a lot more of the same artists while i tend to explore different artists... it's interesting all our listening habits... best of luck making time for bill callahan, it will be something special! keep in touch with other gigs of interest & ill do the same :) oh and how good is the lineup for La Primavera this year - jeeesus!

Ah, well that makes sense. They played an almost identical set to the MEMO gig, with the Young Charletans/Boys Next Door/Birthday Party set first which was pretty hack. There was an awesome moment in Shivers where Harry Howard just went off on one and no one else knew what he was doing and Mick Harvey looked really irritated. But yeah, then they launched into Immortal Souls, which was really smooth. Holyshit. If he'd played that last night I would've had to leave (I was proper front row JP fangirl). Couldn't have dealt with it. Too much love. I'll only be watching that like, 5000 times today :)

Wow. So good. Music aside, it was so interesting to just watch everyone interact with one another. Highlight def JP nailing A Girl Called Jonny (with Jonny) and Crowned. Came home with an Ed Kuepper thing. And an Adalita thing (although we all had one of those already) and an even bigger JP Shilo thing (if that's even possible). No Ave Maria (my favourite too) - I think that's one you wouldn't touch though, you know? RSH just fucking owned that. Insane crowd watch as well, haha. Suddenly all these 50 year old punk rockers just appear, like snails when it rains. I wouldn't lament the missed opportunity too much - your gig cup is pretty overfloweth! Have a cracking weekend :)

I might've missed the last collection on Monday, but definitely Tuesday at the latest...surely should be there by now? I haven't posted anything in about 10 years so I'm not sure how long it takes! So it seems your imaginary festival is coming to life: Nick Cave, Swans, Mogwai and now Ben Frost? You absolute freak.

If you want to stay friends you need to never show me anything like that ever again. Seriously. We're *this* close to being perfect lastfm buddies! I reckon when I crank out those album recs you gave me, we'll be there. Score. So I can see I've already missed Hungry Ghost gigs since I've been away: how could this happen? Still, we have PopCrimes to prime for. If there are still tix for Radders & I can make it happen, I'll let you know :)

I've just seen Wire, Swans & Savages are headlining a gig in Brighton (one of my fave places in the UK)...feeling only slightly suicidal. Thank you for your list! That means a lot. Will make an effort to listen to the 2 albums I haven't heard when I get back (5 more nights in India). You've been listening to Lanegan & Duke!! Only two of my favourite people ever. No biggie :)

You're supposed to be helping, not making my brain explode! You're only allowed 5. Almost like a snapshot of you, you know? (Although off the record, 80% of what you said appeared on the list...nice). Is Soundtracks(...) your favourite Swans album? PS. I saw Mono in '10 @Scala, and it was ultimate. ULTIMATE!!!

2 days, oh dear! 10 points for effort :) And Lowlife, indeed. So - I'm away for a month and am going through the painstaking task of deciding what music comes too. Yes, this is one of those 'desert island' questions. What do you reckon. Top 5 albums? Hit me... PS. Mono! Only one of my ultimate live bands.
