Pardon the super late reply! Currently I've been enjoying the new Protest the Hero record, "Palimpsest", and Cavern of Anti-Matter's soundtrack to "In Fabric". I first heard Adventures in Odyssey on a local radio station, it played daily around after-school hours, and two episodes on Saturday mornings. Definitely had a few of the cassettes that came with Chick-fil-A meals as well, haha

Came here from a comment on the Last.fm Reddit, only to find I was already following you. Great library, I haven't seen any Adventures in Odyssey scrobbles on this site in ages! Did you also grow up listening to that program?

Thanks, wish you be blessed in 2019 :-) I actually overslept the fireworks, too exhausted from family activities :-) New day begins slowly, probably same for you? ... I am glad we all are here on lastfm, it gives us the chance to discover music and our own music habbits... I mostly listen instrumental music because I can do that in background e.g. while working...

Hello from Salzgitter (Germany), Vince, it's amazing to see you make use of lastfm for >9 years already :-) ... When you look back - how did your "musical exploration" evolve in this decade? ... Also... all the best for your 100k scrobbles achievement ... How I discovered your lastFM user page? I saw your post in reddit

Thanks man! I'd recommend starting with Baduism, her first album. Still just as brilliant and refreshing as it was 20 years ago. Mama's Gun is fantastic as well. For modern r&b, I'd recommend Jazmine Sullivan she has an amazing voice and so much sass! Tamia, K. Michelle, Chrisette Michele are some of my current favorites as well. I'd highly recommend checking out Dawn Richard and Kelela, but that's more indie-r&b. Enjoy your ride, bud!

Yeah, they crammed a lot of tracks into that one. I always thought they were at their best in those slow, psychedelic ballads, although I do like most of their rockers. Two wildly different sides to one coin, though.

Some of my favourites are 'True As The Night', 'Going Gone' and 'Sun Child'. I liked 'Future Primitive', but I've only listened to 'Wicked Nature' once, I think. I didn't think it was bad, just felt a bit unfinished.

They were one of the most important bands of my teenage years. I hold them very dear.

Brilliant! I love devotchka as well and the track you gave is excellent. My top three for devotchka are: clockwise witness, you love me, and 100 other lovers. It's pretty hard to narrow it down to three I suppose but I'm gonna go for: Chairlift- I belong in your arms, The Velvet Underground- Pale Blue Eyes, and All I wanna do by the Beach Boys:). I'm really into Dream Pop as well, so Beach House are one of my all-time favorites;)

Glad you enjoyed it. Sleeping Ute is one of my favorite tracks of theirs. Shields is a really solid album; one of my favorite from the last five years. I agree with you about Yellow House; I've really come to love it. And Veckatimest I'm not huge on either, though there are five or six tracks that I do enjoy.

I've been meaning to check out Down There. Just haven't gotten around to it. But from your perspective, it sounds like a solid release as a whole. I didn't know that Budd and Cocteau Twins did an album together. Thanks for the heads up on that. As far as recommendations for you goes, there are several things I would recommend. Grizzly Bear's album Shields is a fantastic album that I'd recommend to anybody. It's not overly complicated and the rewards, IMO, are tremendous. There are some others that I'd like to recommend you but I'm interested in what you think about Shields first. Here's a track from that to get you started: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk3tURx8a2Q If that track doesn'y tickle your fancy (or if it does), then check out this track (and the music video is fantastic): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIyGBQW_9Pc

The Purple Bottle is certainly a fantastic track. I need to check out STGSTV. I've only listened to a few songs off of that. Are you digging any tracks in particular from it? Avey tare's solo album is another I've been meaning to check out as well. What have you been digging from that? Yeah, I'm not huge on Centipede either, but there's a few good tracks on there. Lately I haven't really been listening to too much AC stuff that is new to me. Just a lot of what I already know. But I've been listening to more Panda as a result, and discovering more of that. Thanks for the recommendation on The White Arcades. I like that title. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks. I'm doing well. I'm actually on a vacation right now for my cousin's wedding. Animal Collective is a great band. I've gotten into them a lot over the last year. It seems like you've touched on a lot of great stuff of theirs. Some of my favorite albums are Merriweather, Feels, Fall Be Kind (EP), and Prospect Hummer (EP). I didn't see the People EP in your discography, but I'd check that out. It was recorded around the time of Feels. Some cool stuff on there. Not sure if you're last.fm reflects it, but what have you been getting into AC-wise lately? Yeah, I'm definitely getting excited for new Panda Bear. I'm pretty new to his discography, but I'm digging it. Right now I'm getting into Tomboy, which is pretty cool. One of my favorite tracks from that is Slow Motion. That's awesome that you got to see him! I'd love to see him solo live. Have you seen AC live? I've enjoyed Ambient 2 with Budd & Eno, and I've listened a little to the Pearl.Very nice music. What else do you recommend?
