Thanks mate! Right back at ya great library too! Followed ya back on both. Some great stuff on your letterboxd that has definitely piqued my interest for sure. And right! that Slowthai is incredible. As I said on my shout its the exact Slowthai album ive been wanting since I got into him. That being said his old work is all still absolutely stellar aswell but this new one just hits the right spot for me. I see you've listened to Caroline Polacheks newest aswell which I also absoultely love. What did ya think of it? That and UGLY my 2 albums of the year so far.

Hey, I happened to see your comment about the Oasis album "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants", and just wanted to drop by to say that I couldn't agree more! It's personally my 2nd favorite Oasis album behind WTSMG, and it's so rare to find someone that has praise for it. It's an album that gets very unfairly bashed, imo. I figured you must have a good taste in music, and I'm not surprised to see that you do, and that we have a lot of artists in common. Take care, brother!

I saw your comment on "Whiplash Pants" by Stone Sour (my favorite track on my favorite Stone Sour record) I don't entirely disagree but one of the primary differences between SS & SK are the guitar tones. WP features awesome guitar tones... now compare that to something like "AOV" off the last Slipknot album .5: The Gray Chapter. Those guitars (as well as drums) sound like trash comparatively. The song-writing in Slipknot is (meant to be demented) at times but I just always found it juvenile....

Corey Taylor is awesome... but musically this last record put Stone Sour so far ahead of Slipknot. For that dark & intense yet hauntingly melodic style of metal 2 of my favorite bands have always been Mudvayne & Nothingface. Think they were both so much better than Slipknot (who relied more on gimmicks & theatrics) also Corey Taylor's written some books that are worth checking out depending on how much you're into him

and yeah some of their songs are really teens anthems, but I started to listen to them when I was 12 or 13, so I listen to them when I miss those times. I had so much bounded with them and for me they always will be one of my favs. (sic) for life, man

I was just explaining what differentiates "Whiplash Pants" as a Stone Sour song. The tones... I'm just "neutral" on Slipknot (9 members all trying to combine noise is highly unnecessary to me)... but Corey Taylor's the man. How old are you? Just curious when your exposure to each was... I got exposed to both bands from the debut albums. Slipknot when I was 9....Stone Sour when I was 12. Stone Sour's what speaks to me (though mainly self-titled, Come What(ever) May & now Hydrograd... Christian brought something fresh & exciting to the band, imo)

I'm 19. When I was 12 or 13, I had my first Slipknot disc, that was Vol.3, then my parents bought me bootleg disc with all of their albums 1999-2004. AHIG was not realeased yet, then I remember how Psychosocial and Dead Memories were drop, gold days. After that I knew that Corey has another band, and then I started to listen to SS too

Interesting. That's cool... props for the amount of scrobbles you've put up in a little over 2 years on the site. Sure seems like you put your time into listening which I respect... at some point this year I'm going to hit my quarter of a million/250K mark which means something on account of I've never "cheated" (leaving scrobbler running muted or while asleep) & 85% of my listening was def. in headphones (plus I've limited my library to just 360 artists because I view it like a 360 degree circle iol)...nice to meet you. Don't mind me I'm just probably one of the more meticulous, picky & opionated listeners on here. Also play guitar... have worked for various bands in the past... have attended somewhere around 275 concerts (national acts, don't count local gigs) & I've made it to 26 states or something so far. So yeah I'm really passionate about my stuff =)

I'm in Connecticut (what region are you in?) had a rare "wake & bake" this AM & your username is hard to not chuckle at. Combination of something quite terrible plus the state we all hope to achieve through music lol
