Uh oh, our compatibility has plummeted since the last time I checked. What gives? Not enough dirty south in your listening habits, me thinks.

...hey Liegh, that must have been a great gig? I would love to see Balmorhea... I do indeed like the Sleep Whale ep, looking forward to hearing their album now, their sound is quite similar to Balmorhea's earlier stuff, which is why I instantly thought they're great ;o) I'm going to have quick listen to your lastest Tape Replay - 4 of a kind show: as I'm intrigued to hear what Bibio has to say (he is from the same area of England as me) :o) cheers...

Ha ha! Yeah! I was totally unaware of "the Lonely Island" (listening now), these guys are hilarious, now I know what you mean, although "Bike for Three" is no where near as funny ;o) ...I've been a fan of "Buck 65" (Bike for Three) for a long time but I think unfortunately his music has been on a decline since "Talkin' Honky Blues" and that's old.

I'm with on the "harm and boon" track - when that electric guitar kicks in it really adds that extra kick - shrieks thunderously through the stormy build-up, spine chillingly dramatic yet cheekily playful - I really love it and I too think they should add this to their overall sound more often... I'm not totally sold on Dan Deacon yet. It's growing on me but at times it sounds like he's singing "I know a song that'll get on your nerves" (repeat over and over until it really gets annoying). Yet other times it sounds joyfully chaotic like being a kid at a fairground hyper after eating tons of sweets :o)

Yeah, the new bibio record is instantly likable. Its got that raw DIY quality that makes it sound warm, almost summery, if that makes sense? I see you've been playing a bit of Talkdemonic too? I really like their earlier stuff, I was slightly disappointed by the latest release Eyes at Half Mast. Have you uncovered any new albums recently worthy of a recommendation? The new Balmorhea "All is Wild, All is Silent" is great and the new M.Ward album is sweet too....
