Sorry, I only noticed your message from 24 April just now. I quite like Super, but as a Pet Shop Boys album it's rather weak, with only 4-5 great tracks. It's their worst album ever. Favourite tracks: Into Thin Air, Say It To Me, The Dictator Decides and The Pop Kids (the latter in its Full Story version). I don't like Twenty-Something and Pazzo! is a pointless filler. Undertow is fine, the rest is b-side material. What about you?

Right ok. That sounds quite interesting. I'm actually using Spotify (with a high(er) bitrate enabled) as opposed to CD. What's the best way to get into vinyl? What player should I ideally start off with? I'm quite addicted to Last.FM I have to say so one of the drawbacks is that I can't scribble the songs I play on vinyl.

Ah right yeah, what a shame. I've been quite interested in vinyl for quite a long time now but I've never bothered getting into it (not sure which player to buy and all that). How does TEED sound on vinyl? Surely it'd sound better digitally as an electronic song?

Saw your comment regarding TEED's album not being on vinyl (http://www.last.fm/music/Totally+Enormous+Extinct+Dinosaurs/_/You+Need+Me+on+My+Own). Here it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trouble-Totally-Enormous-Extinct-Dinosaurs/dp/B0083G0AWQ/

Hey, how're you? Yeah it's strange, I always meant to keep in touch but you know how it goes. I think I would recommend Melt Banana's most recent live album. Its sparser than their usual stuff in terms of instrumentation, just vocals, drum machine and some very noisy synths.

Without hesitation one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Was grinning from start to finish. Loved the visuals as well! You?

There's quite a lot of cheese on it, but I was revelling in that today... It's worth a listen but it's not something I'll listen to often (I'd never heard it until today, I often skip Bowie's 90s stuff, but I like Outside and Earthling too). x

Nah, don't send me a recording, I'll just be sad I wasn't there :p Hmm, as for Magnetic Fields I would listen to Holiday or Get Lost. If you don't like either of those, then don't bother with any more!

Cripes, after an uninterrupted stay at #1 overall top artist for a few years, Aphex's reign of terror has been usurped by Autechre!

The top tracks figures are a bit inaccurate as Last.fm seems to scrobble everything off my iPod at least twice, though I was listening to Conchords rather a lot! New album- hooray! I can listen to "Pants Are Too Tight" again!

Yeah, Cut Copy are amazing! Hayley and I went to see them a good five years ago on the basis of their first single and fell in love - and last year's album was just AMAZINGLY good. Their Night & Day show last year was incredibly good, I've never been to a gig in Manchester with such a good atmosphere. I see you've been listening to them alot since you discovered them - good! :o)

Hello! Your friend wouldn't happen to be the man and legend that is Ryan Butcher? If so, I think that me being in your neighbours list has something to do with Ryan being the centre of the universe. That or the fact that you listen to some wonderful music such as Why?, M83, and the Radio Dept... to name a few.

Robbie Williams has covered PSB? Why didn't I know about this earlier? Also, where do I start with Elliot Smith? ALSO, I just saw Grizzly Bear in your Liszt, which reminds me of this time I was in HiFi and this MASSIVE WANKER made me write down some bands he liked and that I should check out - this is what happened: 'Deerhoove grizzly bear forest fires wolf parade' What do you make of this? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I just don't kmow what to do about Robbie Williams' cover of I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing. What's it like? Do I want to know? I don't know what to do.

Oh. Well. Thanks, but it's too late now anyway! (I kind of love destroying things and starting them again anyway, though. It's giddying - in a really tame way, of course.) Also, I think miserablizm is a far better name than youdowntoaT. So it's fine. Fine. Yes. Lovely. Excellent. (More to the point, there was SO MUCH MUSE and The Automatic and ... I don't even want to continue. I think cutting loose would have felt like the only option even if I had been fully informed. I also think that B*witched are nowhere near as troubling as the above.) xx
