Feel free to send recommendations my way. I love discovering new artists. I like the lo-fi stuff you put on your playlist like Flatsound.

Saw your comments on Ask For Joy. Go to their bandcamp page and check out the new release: A Blow and A Kiss EP. I promise this communication will make your week, if not your month.

This is some good shoegaze. It has got the smooth wall of sound and killer bass I am looking for. I don't know if this will make my week. But I am not easy to please, but thanks for showing me this.

Wow. That is surprising. What is it that makes them so hard to decide on? It is like I like the style, but I am not sure it has that "flavor" I am looking for. They have a song called "I can't seem to make you mine" but I would say "I can't seem to decide".

Your avatar is recognizable. I wouldn't change it unless you feel it's necessary.

Indeed I have. They are pretty good. Even though I am kinda fussy. I would say that the style that I prefer most is similar to Slowdive in terms of atmosphere and Wild Nothing in terms of riffs/melody. Some stuff is too much noise and other stuff has no melody whatsoever.

Start out with Yuck, because they are always the most normal of them all. Then maybe throw in some Elvis Depressedly and Four Visions for that fuzzy, obscure sound that tells a story. Depends also on what you like. If you are into more indie, then Yuck is a good segway into it.

Yuck wishes they were early Smashing Pumpkins. I first scrobbled Yuck on June 5th, 2011.

Didn't even see this post. Guess you know a lot of lo-fi too. I will just go with an entire list, in case you know some of them (organized from most to least popular). Neutral Milk Hotel, The Microphones, The Magnetic Fields, Mount Eerie, Daniel Johnston, Mac DeMarco, Ducktails, Frankie Cosmos, Car Seat Headrest, Told Slant, Elvis Depressedly, Flat Sound, Four Visions and Salvia Plath. That is all I can think of right now.

You're ridiculous. But lol I'm surprised that it didn't put Radiohead. Maybe because you haven't scrobbled them recently even though I have.

Problems with last.fm beta: 1. Genres are unable to be seen and bands within that genre in the recommendations section. This is a major problem - as it often has a lot to do with the mood someone is looking for. This helped people make it easier to discover new artists rather than simply going by bands which is a much broader category. I am sure I could simple google bands better that way. 2. The about me section is limited. Third party websites were actually focused on creating mosaic images for artist logos and album covers. Now that this feature is gone it restricts the limit of text thus impeding the amount of BBCode available. I may be wrong so don't quote me but it also seems BBCode is unavailable. Either way third party companies are not profiting any longer and last.fm is losing out too. 3. I can no longer see the top 50 bands on my profile page. This made it a lot easier to keep track of what I was listening to. 4. I could go on but what is the point? Last.fm failed us all.

Hello to you, too. When you say folk, do you mean old-time folk like Simon & Garfunkel, early Bob Dylan and Donovan? Or indie-folk? If it's indie-folk, then I reckon Passenger, First Aid Kit, Mumford & Sons, The Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, The Lumineers, Conor Oberst, Ben Howard, Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes are all worth a look at at. Cheers!

Lol for me it says our musical compatibility is super. I think the problem is that I listen to everything, and what I'm into depends heavily on my general mood.
