Oh hey! Yeah, Portland is good to me. I have not seen my friends or family for the entire 3 years I've been here. Seen a lot of good live music though. Holy crap, I've now seen Cibo Matto twice and Takako Minekawa w/Dustin Wong. There's been lots of other Japanese stuff come through here but I can't keep up. I hope all is good with you~

Hahaha, thanks! Isn't he great? I like this gif because it makes me imagine Chaz as one of my favorite animals, a sloth. :)

Yeah, me too. I'm not a huge metal fan myself (as you can probably tell by my recently played artists, lol), but Boris is pretty awesome.

Thanks! You have pretty awesome taste in music as well. And you're going to the Boris concert as well? It should be pretty great.

Hmm well you better hurry if you do plan to get it... 250 copies is even less than the Ringo LPs ever had...

Heh, would you fork out for the vinyl of it? I've already said bye to my money... I know how valuable all Ringo related vinyls have gotten once they've sold out.

Wow, Japanese PVs never cease to amaze me. Even though some salyu × salyu songs still follow a specific pattern (I'm not saying they get old whatsoever!), the videos are always fresh. This stuff reminds me that my focusing on Japanese music these last years is totally justified and logical. Ohh well. :)

We haven't talked yet? That's bad of us. So, did you write that essay/speech about Ringo? My 2013 is still in development: I'm about to graduate from university, I nearly got a job that would have been perfect but everything fell down all of a sudden. Luckily, we still have music! How are you doing?

Hard Disk... at first i was like ! then I was like meh then I was like OH YEAH now I'm like FUCK IT. Now that I know the tracklist of the bonus disc there's just no need to re-buy all them TJ albums again- on normal CD format anyway.

Damn, I always appreciate the inclusion of a flute on songs with such bass presence as these. The Jamiroquai song reminded me of Stevie Wonder at the beginning. God bless the percussion around 4:30. The limits of acid jazz are still vague to me, even if I listen to music like this periodically, haha. What I see clearly is that, In the end, most of the elements of this music are inspired in genres of African-American origin.
