Thanks, same goes to you! Recs wise, it's tough as I took a look at your profile and we match on so many artists, so maybe you've already checked these out. But this year so far I've been really into listening to The Last Dinner Party, Yard Act, Bully, Durry, The Beths, Everything Everything, The Beaches, Nia Archives, Rachel Chinouriri... I could go on! You got any? I'll check anything out at least once.

No worries! You’ve got impeccable taste, had to give you a follow based on that. Thanks haha, feel like an older timer here. Mad to think it’s been 17 years. Glad others like you have stuck around! I remember when the community here was buzzing and we had all those groups and user blogs. It’s disheartening to see what it is today, but I guess people move on to other things. I’m going to stick around as long as it lasts though, mostly because I’m a music stats nerd and love looking back at my musical history.

Hey, thanks for the follow. I also follow you. Yours is one of the oldest accounts I have seen in Last.fm. This is great. In my case, I used to listen to music since 1997, when I was in class 5. I still remember I bought a cassette from the tiffin money. It was 2010 when I first used the internet. It was 2014 when I first visited Last.fm. But until 2020 I didn't know how it works. How backdated I am! Wish you good luck :)

Hey! No problem! Always looking to find fresh new music and you listen to a lot of varied stuff. Things have changed a lot on here since I joined in 2005. It's nowhere near as busy as it used to be, and I miss the blogs and message boards it used to have. But it's great to hear about your journey to using Last.Fm. I've been on the Internet since around 2002-3 I guess, maybe earlier, can't remember the exact year. I love looking at how my music taste has evolved over time. Anyway, good to meet you! I'm going to be delving into your listening history if you don't mind, as you've listened to a lot of bands I've yet to check out! :-)

Thanks, that's really nice of you to say all that :-) He has shorter hair now, that picture was during the earlier days of the pandemic when he couldn't go to the hairdressers haha. Give my love to your wonderful son too! My son will be 3 next month, so he's not far behind yours. I'm guessing that yours will be going to school soon? Good luck to him :-)

LOL! I can't stop. I have a problem. I don't even really listen to music on the computer anymore, just long enough to download it and put it on my iPod. All the scrobbles are me syncing. So I plugged it in the other day and said to myself, "Did I really listen to Chasing Lights that much?" It's like the new Womanizer to me. My other favorite song is Ass to Ass from Skins, but can't find the mp3.

The new season of Skins won't air here until Spring, which isn't too bad. The second season just finished last month. The only episode I really really liked was when they all went to the beach. But most of the eps didn't suck as much as the one when they went to Russia. The funny part was when I watched the season 2 final on the internet and thought it was great, and then I watched it on TV and thought it was ridiculous. lol. Secret Diary of a Call Girl started again here a couple weeks ago. I like that. Have you ever considered a career in Northern England English translating for BBCA?

Hell yeah! I didn't even know it was gonna be on so soon. I just googled it by chance last week, and was very happy to find out it started the night before. I don't miss the old cast one bit. The music's better. The art direction's better. The story lines are better. The only thing I miss a little bit are BBC America's subtitles because sometimes I have no idea what that guy with the tattoo on his ass is saying. The guy that fucked Effy, ya know? I don't know names yet. And his friends respond to him like they know what he's saying!

Awesome! "The World We Live In" and "Goodnight, Travel Well" don't do much for me, but I seriously love every other track. "A Dustland Fairytale" is my favorite because it's like the sane relative of "The River is Wiiiiiiild!," which would be my favorite song off Sam's Town. Man, you've got "Handbags and Gladrags." That song feels so good.

I never heard Ma-Ya-Hi before T.I. sampled it! The first time I heard it I was like.... wo. I needed a moment to reevaluate my location. I love that Alphabeat song you love, too. It's all Euro and shit. Also: new Kaiser Chiefs CD? GOOD.
